Ready for quilting

This top will be about 64 inches by 48 inches, which is a nice size for curling up on the sofa.   I hate dealing with large pieces when I am quilting, whether by hand or machine so now it is in two sections which are about 32 inches by 48 inches . When I finish the quilting, I will join the two sections.

I am always adjusting my process to fit how I like to work.  I machine stitched in the ditch around each 16 inch "block".  The machine stitching makes it sturdy so I don't need a quilting hoop when I am hand quilting.

I used many treasured strips I got from a blogging friend.  And now I feel a little sad that I used so many of them.

So maybe I need to send you some new ones. I'll be playing with batiks later this week.

Your quilt is lovely and I've enjoyed reading your blog. I think I found you via Portland (now Oregon) Hikers.
