I'm glad your heat wave is over and you are back in the creative mode. I have lots of starts too and I love opening the drawer and pulling out a pile, usually just enjoying looking at it and then putting it away again.

wow, I really like this. I can see that your style is similar to mine when it comes to quilting and color, and we both love batiks. I like your idea of simple layering, and your random strips and squares, in random sizes. I too agree that quilting should be fun, we should do what we want, express ourselves with the color and pattern. I can and do appreciate intricately patterned quilts where one has to match edges and points and squares, but I found that for myself, I'd rather have fun than labor over making it perfect. Going to take a look around here, found you through a long ago comment on 'Moon to Moon'. Oh, and I just bought some fabric the other day, don't know what I will do with it, but if I like it, I'll use it someway. Have a happy day!
