We had some rain and some cool weather and now we are heading into another record breaking heat spell (they say).
Our dogwoods in front didn't bloom this year. They get more sun than they like and last year was so brutally hot that I think it kept them from making blossoms.
These are our neighbor's dogwoods from our kitchen window.
The cherry trees dumped their blossoms and now we have pink snow everywhere.
Back yard... a break from the pink, though at some times of day the dogwoods across the alley cast a cool pink shadow in our yard.

I'm still waiting for pink here. Redbud tree buds are swelling but not very pink yet.
