I've been feeding nuts to the squirrels just outside the back door. They were already eating the birdseed meant for the birds. I used to chase them away but they are fun to watch. I think the cats find them more interesting than the birds.

I've enjoyed having a squirrel in residence as well. Though I don't purposely feed it. I think it must be a girl squirrel because she seems to be making a nest in one of our columns on the front porch. There will probably be baby squirrels soon. I'm not sure if I'm happy about that or not.
