Wahkeena hike

We got out for a hike yesterday.  We tried last Friday but we got a very late start and there were no parking spaces at either of our favorite spots (of the nearby trails that are open and not suffering from slides).  I don't mind company but crowds are another matter.  On beautiful days when the hiking options are limited (not all trails are open), it can get crowded, especially the hikes close to Portland.

The mosses and lichens are making lots of yellow greens.  They dry up in the summer and turn brown.
